Bass Edge Goes Racing
Bass Edge Publishing Editor Steve Brigman and videographer Matt Wilson were on hand the first week in April for NASCAR’s annual stop at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth Texas. The two joined our good friends at O’Reilly Auto Parts in a display booth outside the track.
While cars qualified for Sunday’s Samsung 500, the guys visited with race fans just outside the gates.
“We found out quickly how many race fans are also bass anglers,” Brigman said. “And it was very gratifying to see how many of them are Bass Edge fans.”
Saturday was a big day for the guys. They were treated to a behind-the-scenes look at NASCAR with a tour of the garage as the cars were being prepared for the Busch Series race later that day. That afternoon, Brigman and Wilson were guests of O’Reilly’s in its suite just above the start/finish line.
“It was my first NASCAR race, and it won’t be my last,” Brigman said. “The whole experience was amazing. I loved the race and garage tour, but I would have to say I enjoyed the NASCAR fans the most.”
