Bass Edge to add to book collection

Bass Edge President Don Hertz has announced that the company will soon have a new book on the shelves. “Somebody’s gotta do it,” will be available for purchase through bassedge.com and amazon.com around summer’s end.

Author Steve Brigman has assembled the best of his outdoor writings from the past 15 years in a collection that is sure to bring plenty of laughs and perhaps even a few tears. His adventures will take readers all over the world with him, from Africa, Alaska and Mexico, to many other destinations. There is also a heavy dose of hunting and fishing from his native Ozarks and his years in Texas, along with Brigman’s trying of new things, such as dog-sledding and herding cattle. This will be a must for the Christmas list of the outdoorsman in your life.

"When Steve joined Bass Edge as publishing editor he brought with him many years of experience traveling the globe and writing about the outdoors. Part of our mission at Bass Edge has always been to spread a positive message about the outdoors and the benefits it can offer anyone regardless of age or gender. The book will also be beautifully illustrated by celebrated Ozark artist, Duane Hada, who owns and operates Rivertown Gallery in Cotter, Ark. Also, Brigman calls Hada the best fly-fisherman he has ever met.

“What a joy it was reliving all of these good times as we put this together,” Brigman said. “I must admit though, that I felt a little older when I realized all that I had done.”

Brigman is currently the publishing editor for Bass Edge. Before joining the company, he had spent seven years as a full-time freelance outdoor writer. Before that he spent 15 years as a news reporter, news editor and managing editor in Texas and Missouri.
