How do I get the big ones to bite?
Pete Ponds
I fish in a private small lake and was told by the local tackle store there is plenty of large bass in there I can't seem to catch them. I can catch some smaller 12-16 inch fish but can't get the big ones to bite. The lake has alot of lilly pads and some lay downs. The deepest part of the lake is about 12 ft. I use texas rigged worms, spinnerbait, buzzbaits, and frogs.
What else could I be doing wrong?

Answer:
If I were to target larger fish then I would use baits such as Jig&Pig, Swimbaits, and big baits such as Super Spook, you wont get as many fish but the size should be better, alot of this depends on the time of year and part of the US you are in, also slow down remember these fish didn't get big because they dumb or they wouldn't be in the pond any more. Try throwing by the same laydown 4 or 5 times you will be surprised how many times your bite will come on the same cast you just made.
Hope this helps.
