How to I keep my skirts from matting?
Mark Tucker
Every year I find myself replacing the skirts on my spinner baits and mainly the hula poppers. Not because they are old or worn out, they just mat together . Should I be using some type of silicone spray on them.

Answer:
That's a good question Leon, I do spray the skirts with ARMOR ALL that you use for detailing you Boat&Truck squirt a little on the shirt and rub it in with our fingers then lay them on a paper towel to dry.The ARMOR ALL help preserve the skirt, Also keep them from sticking together. I also keep my skirts for spinner baits and jigs in the refrigerator in the house and just carry what I will need for the Fishing trip. When they are in the heat in your tackle box is what ruins them. You need to dry the skirts off after fishing with them and on the rubber shirt try to pull the shirt strands apart this will help when you go to use them again.
GOOD LUCK AND FISH HARD!
