I'm seeing alot of bass boats out there these days with black bottoms or running surfaces,is there a reason for that? I always thought that grey or white would be a good color, for when a bass is looking up they see white or a silvery color and that would be less spooky to Mr. Bass then a big black object hanging over him that could resemble a threat to him.I hope you can answer that for me,before I order my new boat. Thanks!! -Randy
Answer:
Remember a bass can only see as far as water clarity will allow. Fish will usually be affected much more from a shadow. I think a lot of the bottom colors come from local lake conditions where the angler resides. A red clay bottom favors a black running surface and a white one works well when you have lime deposits. I hope this helps with your color choices.
