Kamath Joins Bass Edge
Bass Edge is proud to be joined by Sudha Kamath. The Washington D.C. area resident has assumed the position of director of media relations.
Kamath brings a wealth of media experience to the job. Much of her career has been spent covering hard news, breaking news and feature stories on international, national, regional and local subjects. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Ohio University’s E.W. Scripps School of Journalism and worked at the NBC affiliate in Baltimore, WMAR-TV, as an assignment editor and news writer. Kamath was also a writer-producer at CNN-Headline News in Atlanta and a news writer and remote producer in Washington, D.C. at CBS affiliate, WUSA-TV, and NBC-owned-and-operated, WRC-TV. Kamath relied on that media background when she made the transition into the destination marketing field as the media relations manager and film liaison for a convention and visitors bureau outside the nation’s capital.
“I am looking forward to using a combination of my skills in the press and media relations to promote all Bass Edge venues and their first-class brand to media outlets, destination marketing organizations, potential sponsors and the public,” Kamath said.
Kamath’s addition to Bass Edge is already paying dividends. She has been successful in arranging strong local media coverage from the two shoots thus far this season, at Caddo Lake in Texas and Lake Patoka in Indiana.
