On bull shoals lake

Question:
On Bull Shoals Lake, when you are in say 50 foot of water the bass are holding in 30 foot around the thermocline. Will a dropshot rig work good for the suspended bass or is there something that may work better?

Answer:
I would use a drop shot with a 3/8 oz. weight and a Zoom, watermelon candy, finesse worm, a Bass Pro Shops 1/2 oz. or 3/4 oz. strata spoon, or a Zoom, salt and pepper, 3 1/2 inch tube with a 3/8 oz. lead head. I hope this is helpful, and best of luck on Bull Shoals.
