Welcome to Bass Edge

Bass Edge represents a new generation of fishing program aimed at teaching the fundamentals of bass fishing in an easy-to-follow format. Bass Edge is your source for tips and techniques from some of the top pro anglers in the world. We are please to have over two dozen proven experts on board for our first season including Pete Ponds, Edwin Evers, Mark Tucker, Jason Quinn, Kurt Dove, Ken Brodeur, and many more!

Each episode focuses on a particular topic as our co-host and I highlight ways to help improve your skill set and increase your success. The instruction is backed by the latest 2D and 3D animation techniques, taking you over the terrain and under the water to better emphasize important instructional elements. Each show also features three mini-segments that focus on often-overlooked areas in fishing. “In The Zone”, hosted by well-known FLW Outdoors.com columnist Jay McNamara, introduces key performance psychology aspects of the sport. “Inside Edge” with Glenn Mann brings a new topic each week focusing on equipment-related items. “Kid Kast”, hosted by Mike Webb, provides advice to the beginning angler and how to get started in the sport of fishing.

Techniques and topics discussed on the show are covered in detail ranging from the specific baits, retrieval speeds, water depth, and structure, to precise locations on the lake. Each week our expert co-hosts will share their secrets for breaking down bodies of water, selecting baits, and developing a pattern. Get in the boat with them, as you’ll witness first-hand, an inside look into the mind and actions of professional anglers. Our trek leads across eight states to take on largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass on some of the best fisheries in the country. Witness the thrill and excitement of carolina-rigging quality largemouth out of the grass on Lake Champlain, drop-shotting for spotted bass on Table Rock, fishing a jig for an 8 pounder. on Lake Fork, to throwing a spinnerbait and tube on the tidal waters of the Hudson River. Every episode is packed with information to help you reach your goals as an angler.

Bass Edge airs on VERSUS (formerly Outdoor Life Network) twice a week beginning January 6th, 2007 and will continue thru June.
